YEAR 3

Welcome to Year 3

Welcome to Year 3’s homepage where you can find out what the children will be learning each term. You will also be able to read about the interesting activities they have been getting involved in.

Year 3 is a significant year at school as the foundations are laid for the children’s journey through Key Stage 2 and it is in this year that we encourage children to become more responsible for their own learning. The teaching assistants who support Year 3 are Mrs Ellis and Mrs Stapleton.

I hope children will find their time in Year 3 exciting and stimulating.

Y3 update

We've had a great first half-term in Year 3. The children are loving our ongoing WW2 topic, in which we will be learning about Anne Frank and Remembrance Day in detail after half-term. The children have also become garden bird experts and learned about speech and...

Warkworth Castle (ahem)

As you can see...Y3 still managed to have a great day out at Warkworth. If the castle you intend to visit is unexpectedly closed for the day, try this...   And when the castle art is completed and presented to the class, try this... ....after all that, you may...
