Year 6 had an excellent visit to Blue Reef Aquarium in Tynemouth as an introduction to our ‘Blue Planet’ topic. We explored the aquarium, took part in a quiz, and had a very interesting and informative workshop on marine animal families.

The children were all brilliant, behaving well, listening carefully and working independently without any incidents – they have been really grown-up today and really shown us that they are almost ready for secondary school! They really enjoyed it too – especially the seals, which were a real high point of the day.

Many thanks to Mrs Waker and Mrs Kent-Holford for coming with us – we really appreciate you giving up your time and hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did
