This term we are going to be discussing ways in which we can improve our attitudes and thoughts about our learning. As we grow up we want to become more independent and have a positive and resilient approach to challenges. Today we have been learning about the way that our brains work a little bit like a muscle: the more you use them, the stronger they become! We have also thought about the difference between having a ‘fixed mindset’ (believing that intelligence is fixed and can’t be changed) to a ‘growth mindset’ (we can improve on and build our intelligence through hard work and challenge).

Year 6 have a fantastic attitude to learning and to their work, so we are going to build on this to ensure that every member of the class knows that they have the potential to do amazing things and cope with difficult challenges. I have every confidence that they will all do well!
