We’ve had a great first half-term in Year 3. The children are loving our ongoing WW2 topic, in which we will be learning about Anne Frank and Remembrance Day in detail after half-term. The children have also become garden bird experts and learned about speech and dialogue in Literacy. In RE the children have thoughtfully discussed ways in which people spoil or can look after God’s world. Music has seen the children creating beats and rhythms, while next half-term they will learn and perform ‘playground’ singing games. We have enjoyed learning about balanced diets and what animals eat in Science – we shall look at tooth care next. Weekly French lessons have been fun and interactive – we shall learn some classroom objects and reinforce numbers 0-12 after half-term. I am delighted to say that we will have some mini-fencing PE coaching after half-term – a new initiative, thanks to our Sport Premium money – I have had a go and I’m sure it will be a huge success! Finally for now, we shall of course immerse ourselves in our Junior Christmas Nativity rehearsals – “Woohoo!”

Mr Belton.
